Standard Flow Skid Steer Mulcher
Powerful, efficient and versatile, Fecon’s skid steer Bull Hog mulchers have, up until this year, been exclusive to only high flow track and skid steer loaders offering more than 91 litres per minute of hydraulic flow. Now, however, Fecon Australia are proud to release the all new Standard Flow Bull Hog Mulcher for skid steers and track loaders, to add to the already popular high flow range. Designed for use with loaders providing as low as 65 litres per minute of flow, Fecon’s Standard Flow Mulchers offer to owners and operators of smaller machines the additional capability of forestry and land clearing work, where previously their skid steer or track loader lacked compatibility.
These mulcher heads feature an impressive 22 highly durable cutting tools designed to maximise mulching efficiency, all contained within a practical 1270mm working width. Operating within a 2400 to 3600 rpm range, Fecon’s Standard Flow Mulchers can process brush and small trees more than 100mm in diameter.
In addition, with the unit weighing less than 600kg – including its mounting plate and push bar – with a close centre of gravity design, the mulcher is easily carried and handled by the loader. And yet, despite its compact design, the unit is built extremely tough to deliver a long and impressive service life. Furthermore, the mulcher’s mounting plates are adaptable to suit various loader brands and models to make it compatible with almost any machine offering 65 litres per minute or greater of flow.
The new Fecon Standard Flow mulcher head is perfect for owners of mid-sized skid steer and compact track loaders undertaking fire prevention and mitigation works, general vegetation management, agricultural clearing such as fence rows and crop perimeters, residential site clean-ups and rural brush clearing. The newfound capability for mid-sized skid steer loaders to run a heavy duty mulcher attachment expands the overall business capabilities – and subsequently opens up vast additional revenue stream opportunities – for owners and operators of such machines.
FTX150 Forestry Mulching Tractor

The FTX150’s deluxe ROPS/FOPS cab is designed for complete operator satisfaction. Adjustable joystick pods attached to a suspension seat with 4 points of egress results in pure comfort, and a large touchscreen IQAN display provides easy and efficient machine operation at the press of a button. The expansive cab is also pressurised and offers heating, defrosting and air conditioning – delivering all-day, every-day comfort for operators.
In addition, an expertly designed undercarriage offers a high 410mm of ground clearance, an impressive 6.4kph travel speed, 500mm track width and a remarkably low 3.7psi of ground pressure. Blackhawk Mulcher
Brand new to the Fecon Australia range is the innovative Blackhawk Mulcher for skid steers and track loaders. Where Fecon’s other mulchers are designed to process trees and thick scrub, the Blackhawk is the mulcher to tackle your land clearing tasks in stringy, fibrous, dense and fast-growing vegetation. The Blackhawk is designed to quickly and efficiently process stubborn standing vegetation, and will pick up and feed felled foliage to ensure no unprocessed material is left behind.
The Blackhawk’s unique rotor contains 30 tools spread across a 1930mm cutting width to offer an optimal configuration for quick spool up and immediate recovery. Its reversible tools offer maximised life and value, and the laced pattern of the rotor tools enhances the efficiency and productivity of the mulcher. The end result is a finer chip size and tidy, evenly-processed material.
With a maximum flow range of 170 litres per minute and 6000 psi, plus an overall weight of 1230kg, the Blackhawk mulcher is designed for use with larger skid steers and track loaders, or attached to Fecon Australia’s range of forestry mulching tractors including the FTX150 detailed above.
