Heavy Plant one-day sale in Brisbane on 18th February

Heavy plant very much in demand as Euro Auctions hosts live – online, one-day sale in Brisbane on 18th February

The next one day sale in Brisbane, Australia, hosted by Euro Auctions, will be conducted live ‘online’, and is expected to attract its usual large global audience. With an exceptional inventory of ‘big ticket’ items and ‘unused’ machines, it’s still not too late for consignors to jump in with equipment for sale.

With over 500 lots already consigned for sale, the next auction in Brisbane for Euro Auctions is expected to attract buyers from across the Pacific Rim, and not just the home market. During 2020, Euro Auctions, Brisbane has attracted global interest from international consignors, with sellers from Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, GB, Italy, USA, Canada and India sending equipment to sell. However, with Covid and border restrictions, the bulk of lots currently for sale at this sale are from the home market, and include many large ticket items, which are expected to grab the interest of bidders.

With a solid list of stock consigned for this event there are a number of interesting ‘big ticket’ items which should pique the interest of buyers, which include a number of exceptional unused machines:

Since Covid all Euro Auctions sales in Brisbane have been conducted online, in real time, with the team from Euro Auctions working with local Territory Managers to make all sales possible. Auctioneers from sister company Yoder & Frey in Ohio, will be conducting this sale in ‘in real’ time from the USA headquarters in Ohio, with chief auctioneer Lucas Schneider officiating over the proceedings. Lucas and his team are regulars at the Brisbane sale, flying in to run the auction for a number of years, but again, with Covid restrictions, travel is impossible, and conducting the sale from the USA has worked well throughout 2020 at all Euro Auctions sales globally.

Previous Sale Results

Craig Hart, Euro Auctions Territory Manager for Queensland reflects on 2020 and the last auction of the year, “Covid has dictated a change in the way we conduct the sale, being live, online and behind closed doors, however prices have been strong, and activity brisk. Consignors are ever committed to upcoming sales and equipment had been coming into Australia, when Covid restrictions allowed.”

“During 2020, results have been strong, showing an appetite for good quality, used equipment and machinery, with low hours and recent models selling well and making good money. The last sale of 2020 in November achieved a hammer total of just under $4 million, and attracted 20% more bidders than the same sale in November 2019, proving the appetite for good quality used equipment is still strong, which has been evident throughout the Covid pandemic, and whilst Euro Auctions, Brisbane, has been building on its success as a trusted auction partner, first time registrations has been increasing sale on sale” concludes Craig.

It is evident at all Brisbane auctions that first time registrations have been increasing steadily. In November 30% of all bidder accounts were first-timers, of which 20% successfully bid and purchased machinery, suggesting Euro Auctions attracts serious buyers. This may suggest that imports of new machinery, which were on hold during the pandemic, are still not reaching buyers. Or, are buyers preferring the value of purchasing good used equipment for new construction projects?
