Shore Hire, one of Australia’s leading suppliers of high-quality shoring, propping and traffic equipment to the construction sector, has recently appointed Ashley Lancaster as the Company’s new CEO.
An experienced leader, Ashley commenced his position as CEO in October 2021, following his role as Shore Hire’s National Operations Manager. Ashley succeeded the Company’s recent CEO, Richard Purser, who is now enjoying retirement and staying connected to the business with a position on the board.
Ashley brings to the role extensive management experience in the construction industry. His impressive career spans over 20 years, with previous appointments including Regional Manager at Gough & Gilmour and General Manager NSW & ACT at Coates Hire.

A results-driven leader, Ashley joined Shore Hire in February 2018 as Assets, People and Compliance Manager. In June 2019 he accepted the position as National Operations Manager where he was responsible for Shore Hire’s national branch network and manufacturing teams. In addition to his industry experience, Ashley holds qualifications from Harvard Business School’s Executive Program and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management.

Ashley will be based at Shore Hire’s head office in Sydney, NSW overseeing the teams in Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Adelaide.
