With true zero tail swing operation, all-day comfort, superior build quality and extremely capability, you’re sure to be impressed by Eurocomach’s versatile and user-friendly ES18ZT 1.8 tonne Eurocomach Mini Excavator.

As soon as you step into the cab and start operating, you instantly feel the class-leading hydraulic performance of the ES18ZT. Intelligent load sensing pumps ensure excellent cycle times, whilst 1070 kgf of breakout force delivers unrivalled digging performance. In addition, closed centre hydraulic systems with unique prioritisation and flow sharing designs allow simultaneous operation of all hydraulic functions, with no perceivable loss of performance.

A second standout feature of the Eurocomach range, including the ES18ZT, is the true zero tail swing design. This ensures greater safety and productivity in confined spaces, removing the risk of accidental damage to the surrounding environment often caused by other conventional or limited swing designs. And yet, despite their zero tail swing design, every Eurocomach mini excavator boasts impressive stability, even over the side; another key design feature of these Italian engineered machines.

Superior operator comfort is yet another outstanding feature across the Eurocomach range. Eurocomach machines are built with ergonomically-designed and impressively-spacious cabins that provide comfortable, work-all-day environments suitable for any sized operator. You’ll be amazed at how the ES18ZT offers such comfort and spacious operation in a zero tail swing cabin.

Cabins are also very quiet, thanks to excellent sound insulation aided by high quality solid steel body panels, which provide additional comfort to the sealed and pressurised operator station. In addition, the cabin is mounted on vibration dampening viscous fluid mounts, providing effective isolation and additional comfort.

Joysticks controls are ergonomic and feature servo assisted fingertip proportional control of all hydraulic functions, including auxiliary flow and boom swing. What’s more, every operational control you need is right at your fingertips, including an AM/FM stereo and the all-important joysticks, which are positioned to minimise fatigue and maximise comfort throughout long hours on the job.

Furthermore, with a 15 horsepower Yanmar motor, the ES18ZT produces an impressive 36L/min of hydraulic flow. With more than 2300mm of digging depth and 3900mm arm reach, plus the safety benefit of its zero tail swing design, this is a perfect option for many small-to-medium jobs.

In summary – for the ultimate in compact performance, comfort and operability in a mini excavator, the Eurocomach ES18ZT is well and truly your best option.

Euro Auctions predicts massive turnouts for upcoming Brisbane UNRESERVED auction. Everything will be sold on the day! Customers race to sign up for upcoming Euro Auctions sale – 14th Nov

0

Euro Auctions, the record-breaking international auctioneers of industrial plant, construction and agricultural machinery, is already receiving consignments for the next sale, being held in Brisbane, Australia. On the 14th November a one‑day onsite auction will be held at its popular Brisbane site. Like all Euro Auctions sales this will be UNRESERVED, and will see an impressive array of quality equipment, much unused, being sold on the day to the highest bidder.

“Demand for quality used equipment in this part of the world is definitely on the increase, so the fact that our sales are unreserved is very popular with the Australian buyer.  At all Euro Auction sales, everything IS SOLD on the day to the highest bidder.  Our buyers know they can get the equipment they want without having to worry about if the item will sell or not – if they are the highest bidder, it’s theirs” comments Craig Hart, Euro Auctions’ Territory Manager for QLD. “The one-day physical onsite sale on 14th November provides buyers with the perfect opportunity to personally inspect the various lots being offered, before bidding, plus it’s the perfect chance to meet up with likeminded people and discuss activities face-to-face.  However if you can’t make it to our site online bidding is available.”

Craig continued: “We are seeing significant growth in bidder participation in all our auctions and the increased demand for new equipment is helping drive auction activity in the used equipment sector. We expect to see many consignors allocate quality used equipment to both these auctions over coming weeks, releasing quality used equipment back into the market to meet the strong demand for it.”

Unreserved auctions draw the crowds

0

Euro Auctions, the record-breaking international auctioneers of industrial plant, construction and agricultural machinery, had its last physical sale of the year on 14th November, and is already receiving consignments for the next sale, being an online ‘timed auction’ to be held on 9th January 2020.

The hammer total for the November 14th Auction reached $4.33 million seeing more online activity than in previous sales, with returning buyers reassured that the quality of the lots for sale by Euro Auctions are good, prices are true to market value, and all equipment has been approved by the Euro Auctions team.

The reoccurring statistic is that first time bidder registrations have been increasing sale on sale with first time bidders up 70% on the same sale in 2018. With the Euro Auctions on-line ‘bidding platform’ bidding and buying online is easy, showing a constant increase in bidders.

Buyers at the November sale were predominantly from the home market, with Queenslanders showing in force proving they like a sale, with 75% of all bidders being from Queensland, and 65% of all buyers being Queenslanders. However, there was an international flavour from the bidders, with buyers from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Oceania, the Far East and Asia, such is the international reach of Euro Auctions marketing and customer base.

Consign NOW for our next sale

On 9th January Euro Auctions holds its next auction in Australia, which will be an online ‘timed auction’. With Consignors wishing to turn metal into cash for the New Year, this sale is already taking on kit and equipment and with no restriction on space, is looking like the year will start with a bang.

Craig Hart, Territory Manager for Queensland comments, “Our one-day online sales are always very popular, meaning consignors either located in remote areas or with particularly big pieces of kit can reach out to customers who in turn don’t need to travel to a specific location to participate in the auction process.”

“We are seeing significant growth in bidder participation in all our auctions and the increased demand for new equipment is helping drive auction activity in the used equipment sector. We expect to see many consignors allocate quality used equipment to both these auctions over coming weeks, releasing quality used equipment back into the market to meet the strong demand for it.” Concludes Craig Hart.

UNRESERVED – when the hammer is down, its sold!

The demand for quality used equipment in Australia is on the increase, which means we can satisfy sellers and deliver what buyers really want. All Euro Auctions sales are unreserved, and everything IS SOLD on the day to the highest bidder. Our buyers know they can get the equipment they want without having to worry about if the item will sell or not. If they are the highest bidder, its sold and that bidder takes it home.

ENGCON EXPANDS NICHE MARKET FOR EIFFEL GROUP

0

Sydney, Australia: When Jonathan Guillou established Eiffel Group Pty Ltd, he was familiar with tiltrotators that were being used on excavators throughout Europe.

“Despite their wide use elsewhere and proven benefits in saving time and cost, Australian owners and operators have not fully embraced their adoption for everyday use. My goal was to introduce the Engcon tiltrotator system to the Australian earthmoving industry to show how these attachments can cut costs and improve efficiency”, Jonathan said.

“Also needed was a powerful mid-size excavator that could take advantage of the performance of the Engcon S60 tiltrotator and its EC Oil quick hitch system.

“When we were invited to tender for a large public works job that specified highly detailed work that needed advanced skills and precision excavation, we saw this as an opportunity to invest in the tiltrotator system that would help us win the job.

“We decided on a Takeuchi TB2150R 16.5 tonne excavator which was ideal for the tight space on the site as the excavator/tiltrotator package needed to be available quickly to meet the contract timeline.

The right combination

“The TB2150R is a very versatile machine, particularly with the Engcon S60 tiltrotator and EC Oil quick hitch, which is a very safe system, enabling attachment and tilt changes to be performed very quickly without leaving the excavator’s cabin.

“The combination of a well-matched host machine and the Engcon system gives us the performance and flexibility of a 20-tonne machine, with the added benefit of being able to access tight sites due to the excavator’s track width of just 2.5 metres. This enables us to use the right tools on sites which previously would have only been accessed by a smaller machine.

“The Engcon tiltrotator means the machine can remain stationary and by manipulating the bucket correctly, we can perform virtually every task from a fixed position . The tiltrotator is a very important tool as it enables us to avoid damage to any poles, railings, infrastructure or previously laid surfaces, resulting in minimisation of cost through shorter task cycles,” Jonathan said.

Site protection

Eiffel Group said they had won many roadworks tenders by guaranteeing surface protection by minimising its excavator’s track movements. Other benefits of not having to move the excavator’s tracks is a reduction of fuel usage of between 10 to 15 percent. Not having to change buckets is another huge benefit, adding real time savings over the duration of a project.

Eiffel Group points to the huge cost of labour being a major incentive to constantly invest in new equipment, attachments and technology to lower costs and enabling them to deliver better value for its customers, while ensuring projects run smoothly.

“When you are performing work for a prime contractor, they are happy when you can bring equipment to the site and complete the job as quickly as possible to allow other construction stages to proceed”, said Jonathan.

Training is a key issue

Like most companies that have adopted tiltrotators, Eiffel Group Pty Ltd said training and on-the-job experience is critical for its operators to become proficient to deliver the highest level of efficiency.

“It takes time to master the Engcon system, however once proficient, the investment in training really pays off.

“Today we are enjoying the benefits of having a fleet of machines and well-trained, competent staff that can get the most productivity out of our Engcon tiltrotators. This has  given us a reputation precision excavations, difficult access tasks and the ability to minimise site impact and time spent on construction projects”, Jonathan concluded.

Engcon celebrates 30 years – the tiltrotator’s journey from a garage in the little Swedish village of Lidsjöberg all the way to Downtown Manhattan, New York

0

When Stig Engström first saw an excavator quick coupler that was able to tilt and rotate, he realised immediately that the product would change the world of excavation. In 1990, he formed the company Engcon, and now 30 years later Stig Engström’s life’s work generates annual sales exceeding SEK 1 billion and his world-leading products can be found at the four corners of the earth.

Engcon – Engström Construction – turns 30 this year. It all began in Stig Engström’s garage in the village of Lidsjöberg, 55 miles northwest of Strömsund in northern Sweden. Stig built the various prototypes himself, which were then tested by local construction contractors. Even if he was convinced about the enormous potential of the product, convincing others and getting the concept to work was a difficult journey.

“It was an incredibly tough start, and there were both technological and financial setbacks. In the beginning, I made major technical modifications to the product and I was entirely dependent on testing it in real-world conditions with contractors. There were a lot of technical hassles and I also needed revenue for working capital. After a few years, the product began working better and increasing numbers of innovative contractors discovered how revolutionary the tiltrotator was, and thanks to their support and patience, we are where we are today,” says Stig Engström.

The head quarters, factory, the Swedish sales team and most of the administrative functions are still located in Strömsund, and they will remain there according to Stig Engström, whose heart has deep local roots.  But these days, Engcon also has a factory in Poland and sales offices in Finland, Denmark, the UK, Holland, the Netherlands, France, Germany, the USA and Australia, and there are plans to commence sales in Korea during the spring. Other global markets including Austria, Switzerland, the Baltics, Spain and Italy are handled by our international sales office.

“Right now we’re near to closing a major deal for delivery to Downtown Manhattan. Thirty years ago I could never have dreamed I’d own a company with annual sales exceeding a billion kronor and more than 300 employees in over 10 countries,” says Stig Engström.

The 30th anniversary will be celebrated with various activities throughout the year. We will acknowledge it at Conexpo – Conagg in Las Vegas in March and at Svenska Maskinmässan in June. The actual celebrations will take place on 9th July when Engcon will invite all of Strömsund’s inhabitants to a show, and there will be open house at the factory on 10th July with guided tours, activities, birthday cake, video presentations and speeches.

“Right now, we’re looking forward to the next 30 years! Who knows where in the world our tiltrotators will be busy then,” concludes a smiling Stig Engström.

A full story about Engcon 30 years will be release during 2020 on Youtube.  Se video teaser here:https://youtu.be/qzxFsfx1avw

Doosan and Engcon announce major European collaboration and investment

0

Doosan and Engconthe world’s leading tiltrotator manufacturer have entered into an agreement regarding an increased collaboration in Europe. The first Doosan excavators factory-fitted and equipped with Engcon’s tiltrotators, control systems and hitches are being delivered during fall 2019.

The collaboration means that excavator manufacturer Doosan, a global leader in the engineering and manufacturing of construction equipment will be factory-fitting it’s excavators in Europe with Engcon control systems, hitches and tiltrotators. The first tiltrotator-ready Doosan excavators will be rolling off the production line during fall.

“Dig where you stand” – a whole new style of running an excavator
The tiltrotator is a kind of tilting and rotating wrist for excavators with unique flexibility. It allows a bucket or any other tool to rotate 360 degrees and tilt up to 45 degrees, meaning fewer machine movements leading to reduced wear and tear and less gas consumption.

“The advantage for our end customers is that they will enjoy much faster deliveries – the excavator they buy will be prepared for an Engcon tiltrotator. This is an important step in our efforts to continually improve our service,” explains Krister Blomgren, CEO of Engcon.

More and more markets are recognizing that Engcon was the first manufacturer to supply a unit which enabled them to really explore the tiltrotator’s full potential, that enhanced operations and improved customers’ profitability. The long-term goal for Engcon is to extend collaboration globally.

A tiltrotator can make excavation work up to 50 per cent more efficient, improve safety and reduce the environmental impact – all strong arguments for using the tiltrotator technology.

“Our products have long been a Nordic phenomenon, and we are now witnessing a clear trend whereby Europe is starting to open up to the use of both tiltrotators and our systems. As a result, preparing excavators is a smooth way of reaching more end customers,” says Krister Blomgren, CEO of Engcon.Doosan and Engcon share the view that the excavator can become the hub of your operations, replacing other machines. Using an automatic quick hitch in combination with a tiltrotator makes it easy to change tools, providing a more flexible and efficient way of working.

Doosan Infracore Europe Marketing Communications Manager, Kevin Lynch, commented further, “We are pleased to use Engcon as one of our partners for control systems and tiltrotators. Due to the strong growth of this market, our partnership will provide greater working efficiency in responding to the demand of our dealers and customers.”

The collaboration also means that Doosan and Engcon will be participating at various European trade fairs and events together, providing opportunities to try out various machines, review the technology and ask questions.

Since their introduction in the beginning of the 1990’s, Engcon a $90 million Swedish firm, has been manufacturing and selling its tiltrotators globally. Engcon North America is responsible for the North American market, engaging with customers who can benefit from Engcon’s advanced technology.

BEETROOT ‘BARON’ WINS TOYOTA MATERIAL HANDLING PROMOTION

0
Toyota Material Handling Australia Forklift Shoot Winner Handover - 12th September 2019

A Melbourne market gardener recently became the lucky winner of Toyota Material Handling’s promotion to win the purchase price of any new Toyota walkie stacker or electric pallet jack up to the value of $15,000, purchased between June and August this year.

Daniel Savage of Savage Gardens said the fourth-generation family business was seeking a new electric pallet jack and evaluated several brands before arriving at a Toyota BT LWE130 model. “We needed a pallet jack for our truck and looked at some other brands, but they didn’t have the turning circle we wanted,” said Mr Savage. “Also, we have had many Toyota forklifts in our business over the years and found them to be extremely reliable. We thought about trying to save some money up-front by going to a different maker but in the end, we said, ‘No, if the Toyota pallet jacks are like their forklifts, they’ll pretty much last forever’. So, we rang-up Ross.”

Ross Hourigan, Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) area sales manager, Victoria, said Savage Gardens’ decision to buy the Toyota BT LWE130 electric pallet jack was carefully considered. “They’re a family business so they think hard about what they spend their money on,” said Mr Hourigan. “We went through a process to help them select a unit that best fit their requirements for the tasks they were doing,” said Mr Hourigan. “We put a demonstrator model on their site and showed them what the controls do and how to operate it safely, and then left it with them for a couple of days to practise its operation.”

The Toyota BT LWE130’s narrow chassis is renowned for its excellent manoeuvrability in confined working areas and Savage Gardens’ Daniel Savage said he found this feature particularly appealing. “The turning circle on the other brands we looked at was too wide. It was too limiting for us,” Mr Savage said. “When Ross gave us the loaner we were impressed at its lock in tight spaces, it turned beautifully, and we also found the Click-to-Creep function to be really good.

“The boys fell in love with it – and I like it, too – so we went from there.”

TMHA’s Ross Hourigan said it was Toyota’s famed quality, durability and reliability that eventually won-out in the selection process. “We know that Savage Gardens also trialed a couple of other brands but in the end, they went with Toyota because they could trust the performance. Their Toyota forklifts have proven to be very reliable and durable in the past and they expect the same will be the case with the Toyota BT LWE130 electric pallet jack.

“I suspect our machine may have been a bit more expensive, but they decided it was worth the investment. They felt that the little bit extra for the Toyota would end up paying itself back and more, in the long-run.”

The Toyota Means Business “$15k Back” promotion winner was drawn randomly, and it fell to Ross Hourigan to deliver the good news. “When I heard Daniel had won it, I got on the phone to him. He was pretty excited when I told him. He said he’d have to give up buying Tatts Lotto tickets because he’d used up all his luck. We had a laugh about that.”

Mr Savage said he was quite surprised to hear the news. “I actually had no idea. I only knew about the Toyota Material Handling fuel card that was part of it,” he said. “When Ross rang me and told me I’d been picked out as the prize-winner and would be getting the pallet jack for nothing, I was pretty chuffed. It was quite unreal.”

Mr Savage said the business grows an assortment of vegetables, and that Toyota Material Handling has been part of its history for a long time. “We are fourth-generation vegetable farmers and over the last 20 years many Toyota forklifts have helped our business grow and deliver produce for large-scale retailers such as Woolworths and Melbourne Markets.

“We grow about 20 different types of produce but we specialise in beetroot and spring onions.

AUSSIE STOCKYARDS PUTS TOYOTA HUSKI TO WORK

0
A busy West Australian stock fencing company has substantially increased productivity and time-efficiency with a new Toyota Huski Skid Steer Loader.

Aussie Stockyards, based at Wagin, 230km south of Perth, commissioned the 730kg operating load Toyota Huski 5SDK-9 skid steer loader in March 2017 to load trucks and prepare the ground on upcoming jobs for fencing installation.

The Toyota Huski skid steer levels and clears the ground, and has an auger attachment to quickly and cleanly drill post-holes. It also has pallet forks for unloading trucks.

Galvanised steel fencing for sheep and cattle stockyards is manufactured on the job site as continuous panelling, using a coil feed-line machine which can now be loaded on and off the back of any truck using the Huski.

Company owner Troy Watt said the Toyota Huski had increased efficiency, by reducing the time needed to prepare the ground before erecting a fence.

“It has also given us greater flexibility,” Mr Watt said.

“We have a Palfinger crane attached to our main truck, but having the Toyota Huski means we don’t have to dig post-holes by hand when working under sheds and such.

“We’ve been very busy in the last few months and the Toyota Huski has helped us keep up with demand.”

Mr Watt said the Toyota Huski was absolutely performing to expectation, increasing his satisfaction. “I have always wanted one and now I’m glad I do!” he said

Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) Perth area sales manager Dan Rhodes said the innovative Aussie Stockyards application highlighted the versatility of the Toyota Huski range.

“It is a pleasure to see one of our loaders help the operator of a thriving business achieve more output in a day, with less physical stress,” Mr Rhodes said.

Toyota’s Huski 5SDK-9 SSL has been proven across Australia. It has a 3.4-litre Toyota 2Z diesel engine delivering 44kW, an operating load of 730kg and a dumping height at 45 degrees of 2290mm.

Standard safety equipment includes the Toyota’s Safety System and Multiple Safety Lockout System.

TMHA offers a comprehensive range of Huski skid-steer loaders, from the compact 4SDK4 to the powerful 5SDK11.
